World Choir Games in Flanders

ProjectsFrom October 30th to November 7th, 2021, the World Choirs Games took place in Antwerp and Ghent. The organisation wanted to focus strongly on sustainability and inclusion. After an analysis of the needs and a number of organisational measures to limit the number of trips, a custom transport offer to each choir was developed. Scelta Mobility and the local organizing committee realized a modal split in which 88% of the trips were made in a sustainable way.

Flanders 2021

ProjectsLast year, Scelta Mobility was the mobility partner of ‘Flanders 2021’. A mobility plan was developed for the event in collaboration with the host cities, the police and the transport providers. The emphasis was on accessibility and keeping the host cities accessible. The car was not an option then. After all, many exits from the highways and major access roads were closed. And yet thousands of supporters found their way to the track. Read what we learned from this project here.

Crowd control & mobility in the city

ArticlesWith the end of the year approaching, it promises to be busy in city centres, shopping streets and shopping centres. Domestic tourist destinations are high on the bucket list for many families during Christmas holidays. Nevertheless, the safety measures against the corona virus continue to apply. WC Cycling 2021

ProjectsFlanders organises the World Championship Cycling in September 2021. The cyclists will compete for eleven world titles in various disciplines and cross the entire Flemish country. Getting the many cycling fans to the course safely and efficiently will be quite a challenge, regardless of the corona measures in force. Sustainable mobility will become the keyword. A challenge that Scelta Mobility likes to take on. We are making a mobility plan and are coordinating the roll-out.

Mobility Plan of the Ghent fire brigade

ProjectsThe Centre fire brigade zone is responsible for 18 villages in East Flanders and operates from 15 fire stations. The beating heart is the main fire station in the densely built-up Bloemekenswijk in the northern outskirts of Ghent. The main fire station groups together the logistics and administrative services of the entire zone. To limit the impact on the neighbourhood, the fire service wants to make commuting more sustainable. Scelta Mobility set to work and drew up a company transport plan that will be implemented step by step in the next few years.

Sustainable mobility for your company

During the lockdown, people cycled, walked and teleworked more than ever before. The total number of trips decreased significantly and the share of sustainable trips increased. A lot of people cycled their way ‘out of their room’ in-between teleworking and pre-teaching. This positive attention to sustainable mobility offers opportunities to take a closer look at company mobility and to interpret travel behaviour in the context of commuting or business trips in a different way.

Mobility approach Metallica wins award.

Projects« Bike Brussels Awards » edition 2019 aims to put the spotlight on the most promising and inspiring projects in the field of active mobility. Projects of companies, cities and schools located in the heart of Brussels are taken into account. Although Metallica's concert does not immediately belong in one of these categories, Live Nation's approach on mobility was rewarded with an extra award. During the Metallica concert on June 16th in the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, there was a strong focus on bicycle accessibility. About 2,000 metal fans came to the stadium by bicycle. That commitment to cyclists in Brussels has been rewarded. Scelta Mobility, together with Live Nation, once again fulfilled its role of “bicycle fluencer”.
